Matt and Christine were a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding. They made sure everything we wanted was executed perfectly. Debbie was our manager the day of, and was nothing short of amazing. She made sure my husband and I always had food and a drink in hand. We wanted our dinner to feel like a Michelin-star-rated experience, and they delivered that and more. Our guests are still talking about the hors d'oeuvres passed around during cocktail hour. As the bride, I unfortunately did not get to enjoy that hour between pictures and getting ready for our entrance into the reception, but Matt thinks of all that, and every time I turned around there was a plate for my husband, wedding party and I waiting. The lobster rolls were my favorite. They were very popular amongst our guest as well. The French-style service was flawless. Our wedding was 128 people. The food came out piping hot and our guest really enjoyed being able to eat a little of each meat brought out. They didn't have to pick an entree; they were served everything! They were able to eat the chicken, tuna, AND steak if they wanted! The dishes were bursting with flavor. One thing that truly sets them apart is their gift for hospitality. Each server and bartender treated our guests with warmth and professionalism. I had a cocktail on my table every time I turned around with fresh ice. Although, I didn't get to drink much lol. I would love to comment on my communication with them; however, I eventually hired wedding planners to take care of that on my behalf. They did mention that Christine is very professional and easy to communicate with. Before I brought them on though, Matt was very quick to return any calls and even did a house visit during one of my pre-wedding panic attacks to assure me that he had it! We used Christopher Michael catering for our son and daughter in laws wedding, and brunch the following day. That was 2 weeks ago. Everyone is still raving about the food and the service. Matt was amazing! So accommodating to food allergies. We had a large wedding, and the food was cooked perfectly, and served hot. I have been to several wedding of the same size, and more often than not, the food comes cold. I highly recommend Christopher Michael Catering!

When our ceremony ended 30 minutes early - Matt and the staff adjusted quickly to make it happen - quickly opening bars to serve drinks and bring out food. The team was so kind and responsive - and so good at their jobs! Our guests are a tough crowd when it comes to food (especially steak) and they couldn't stop raving about the cocktail hour and the dinner! Everything was cooked so perfectly, and the staff made it so much fun! Highly recommend Matt Kar and his team at Christopher Michael Catering! They were extremely professional and super easy to work with! Matt Kar is so understanding and accommodating which really helped to make our wedding less stressful! They definitely went above and beyond for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with their service! Their food is phenomenal and so delicious!! Compared to other caterers in the area the pricing was great especially for how much they offer and do for you! We had the best experience with Christopher Michael Caterers for our wedding at RGNY on August 20th, 2023. Matt was very helpful throughout the entire planning process. We heard wonderful reviews of the French Style catering and knew that was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. The French Style of having three dinner options (plus sides) where guests can chose what/all options they want did not disappoint and our guests were very pleased with this unique option. The meal as well as the cocktail hour was delicious! Matt and Christine were both very communicative throughout the entire wedding process and were just as wonderful on our actual wedding day. Highly recommend! All-inclusive professional catering from delicious apps and entrees, to all glass wear, tables, tablecloths, and a full event team. CMC was incredibly accommodating for me with special dietary requests, last-minute changes, and other typical wedding dramas! The event team were ABSOLUTELY angels on the wedding day and ensured everything was beautiful, delicious, and organized, thank you team!

We worked with Matt Kar to cater our wedding at RGNY. We loved that he was local, sourced ingredients locally and really cared about his business. All very important things to us. He offers something unique called French style where servers go to each table with 3 entrees and serve everyone a little bit of everything of their choosing. Not only is the food delicious, but our guests felt taken care of. They were served multiple times and never left hungry. Matt was wonderful to work with and so was his staff. He doesn’t do traditional tastings but he did invite us to his restaurant to have a meal. It sold us. It was one of the best we’ve ever had. I would recommend them for everyone’s catering needs and would use them again. We were taken care of, and never had to worry about a detail. Christopher Michael is the best on the NorthFork of LI! Christopher Michael Catering was the best catering at any Northfork Venue. We got married July 30, 2022 at Brecknock Hall. Our guests raved about the food and loved the French-style service at our wedding. Matt Kar impressed us as a chef and owner who was personable and involved with us each step of the way as we planned our wedding. He was easy to contact, helpful and took the time to meet with us when selecting the menu. The food was outstanding and our guests enjoyed trying each entree as his team brought everyone seconds. The best part, was they surprised us with the tastiest pastries for dessert, which were the perfect touch. Matt Kar is the owner of the Jamesport Manor Inn/Dimon Estate and Christopher Michael Catering. He was catering our wedding when it was at JMI and we ended up sticking with Matt to cater our wedding at Duck Walk. We really appreciated how empathetic and accommodating he was given our situation and venue cancelation within 2 months of our wedding. He offered to discount his price which helped to offset the additional fees of changing venues. We are so glad we stuck with Matt because the food was SO incredibly delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. Matt has his own staff and offers a “French style” menu where you choose several entrees and sides and the servers come around multiple times to offer seconds and thirds to everyone. They cook onsite and the food was fresh, hot and unlimited. Matt Kar is a great guy with a respected reputation in the wedding industry which was why he was able to help us pivot on such a short notice. Typically Duck Walk and other venues in the area do not allow other caterers to come on property when they have their own contracted. Because of Matt’s reputation he was able to speak with different vendors/venues and most were accommodating thanks to him. Matt’s site coordinator, Christine was an absolute angel, and I appreciated her flexibility and willingness to take on the challenge of coordinating at a site she has never coordinated before and was unfamiliar with the site staff, layout, and flow of the day. We did not have a wedding planner, so she was my point contact for coordinating the whole day. Christine came through for us and our day went off without a hitch. If anyone is hesitating about working with Matt and his team because of what happened with the town, I hope this eases your doubts because they truly stepped up to the plate, went above and beyond and knocked it out of the park.

Everyone loved the unique French Style, where they could pick and choose their entree at the table. But the cocktail hour was the best part. We used the French Style service, many of our guests are still raving about the variety and how delicious everything was. We used Christopher Michael for all of the rentals as well. They did a beautiful job with the entire event.

Due to COVID-19, our original wedding plans were canceled. We still wanted to get married on our wedding date, albeit with a much smaller guest list, so we booked a last minute outdoor venue. I emailed Matt on a Sunday, about a month and a half before the wedding. Within hours I was speaking to him on the phone. Matt was super responsive, attentive and accommodating throughout, and so was Christine. Matt and Christine and their service team made our wedding day a reality! The service and the food were superb! We cannot thank Christopher Michael Catering enough!!!

I am SO happy we were lucky enough to have hired Matt, Christine and the rest of the Christopher Michael team for our wedding this past June. It was very easy to work with them, and the food was unbelievable!! We got so many compliments on it from our guests! We chose "French Style" service, which is unique (I've never seen it at any other wedding) - guests got to choose from 3 proteins being served to their table along with sides, and they could choose all 3 if they wanted, and even got seconds! Needless to say, our guests were very happy and well-fed. I highly recommend choosing this caterer!

Christopher Michael Caterers was flawless. I can't say enough about their wonderful team. They provided great/upbeat service AND went the extra mile to set up our decor at the venue for us so we didn't have to stress about it. People are still talking about how impressed they were with the food. You could not go wrong with Matt, Christine and the rest of the staff.

A friend of ours had her wedding catered by Christopher Michael and recommended them for mine. Matt and his team were great. We had our reception in our backyard and they came over to our place to talk through where the ceremony and reception should take place. We wouldn't have been able to do it without their professional advice. Matt was very responsive to all my emails and put us so at ease. My guests are still raving about the food they had at our wedding! We had cocktail hour with a choice of appetizers and for the reception we did the french style menu. The french style is great as each guest can pick from a choice of 3 different entrees. They even did flavoured water for us for the table and we did a full bar with specialty cocktails. The team took care of everything, from the bar to the ceremony chairs to the reception tables. We didn't even noticed when they moved the chairs from the ceremony to the reception and our wedding altar from the ceremony for the cake set up. Christine and her team were amazing, they paid attention to every detail, you don't need a planner as they have it all covered. Matt also gave us surprise desserts that wasn't in the package we picked. Christopher Michael will be my go-to caterer from now on. Can't wait to try their lobster bakes.

We had an outdoor wedding at a private home. We hired Christopher Michael caterers because he had catered my cousins wedding. Aside from that they took care of everything for us. From the moment the day started to the very end the staff treated our guests like royalty. Our guests keep saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding!! The staff was professional and courteous and did so many things on the fly to help cater to our guests. The raw bar on the beach should be on the cover of a bridal magazine!!!! The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff maintained a perfect pace with our entire wedding day. As the mother of the bride I couldn’t have been happier. When Cynthia or Christine spoke to me they made sure they had my attention and would explain to me in direct terms what was happening now and next. They have a way that let me fully enjoy my daughters wedding and still make critical decisions. Their experience and professionalism is beyond words. Matt was so easy to work with from day one. I had initially solicited all the major catering vendors on the North Fork. Matt was far and away the most organized and responsive of everyone I reached out to. I had full menus and price lists within a day and he answered all questions right away. His menus were so good! He had great options for every palate, with very fair pricing and great add on options such as the raw bar and lobster rolls. When we met in person, he put all our concerns to ease. He’s been doing large events and weddings for decades now and knows all the venues, other vendors, etc. I was struggling to find a tent vendor who could provide what we wanted, his suggestion “just call Bobby over at American Tent, tell him I sent you” was perfect! Not only did the team at American Tent deliver a beautiful Sail Cloth tent at a fraction of the cost of the other vendors, I had peace of mind knowing that Matt, who helped me plan all the final details, knew the other vendors very well and would step in if I needed assistance. In deciding our menu for the event, Matt hosted us for a delicious dinner at the Manor where we got to sample all sort of dishes to get a taste for his quality and vision. Everything we tasted was perfect. Picking the menu after that was a breeze (filet mignon with horseradish dill sauce, chicken and lemon capers, pesto ravioli, raw bar, etc.) Months later we still have friends telling us it was hands down the BEST wedding food they’ve ever had. In addition to the food, Matt and his team went above and beyond, essentially filling in as assistant wedding planners and coordinators. He provided me with sample timelines for the day as well as how he likes to coordinate with the other vendors to ensure the entire event runs smooth from start to finish. His event manager, Cynthia, seemed to be everywhere at once the entire day of my wedding. She was at my Mom’s and Day of Coordinator’s sides for much of the event, taking care of everything before it could even be asked. She knew exactly where and when for every detail, beyond just the food, working with the DJ, photographers, etc. The serving staff was also amazingly professional and courteous. I went with French style service so food came out on platters and was served to each person HOT! So many people were shocked that everything was fresh and hot, the timing and prep was perfect. Matt Kar and the whole Christopher Michael team..where do I begin? I can’t say enough good things about our May 19th wedding at Martha Clara Vineyards. Our guests are still raving about the food and the friendly, efficient staff. I asked for a specific swordfish preparation and I have to say everything I asked for Matt said, “of course!” and made it happen flawlessly. He helped us walk through our cocktail hour food options and even had an employee come out with a tray of food for us while we were taking photos in the rain! Such dedication. When my mom went to give them their envelope at the end of the evening the CM team complimented my mom on our guests! It was truly a match made in heaven. I am thrilled with the way the day went thanks to the pros at Christopher Michael.

We highly recommend Matt Kar and Christopher Michael Catering. From our first meeting at his restaurant in Jamesport, we were confident he was the right choice for our wedding at Martha Clara. Communications were very easy - we dealt with Matt leading up to the day and then Christine a few weeks prior to our event. Emails were returned quickly. Matt was very flexible and was very willing to make modifications from the basic packages. Christine was very much on top of what was needed and reminded us several times that she had everything under control -- and she did. The food was simply amazing. We opted for the raw bar, which was a huge hit. Matt's staff seamlessly moved from the cocktail hour outdoors to the main event indoors. We opted for the French style service, which was great - guests could have a little bit of everything instead of being limited to one entree. We have had many people tell us after the wedding that it was the best wedding meal they've ever had and it was hard to disagree. They were very flexible with us bringing in outside cake and pie. The bartenders and waiters were extremely professional. Everything went perfectly. We can't thank Matt, Christine and the Christopher Michael team enough! Book with them - you won't regret it!

I know bridal party gets to choose the kinds of appetizers, but . . . oh my heavens . . . each and every appetizer we had the distinct pleasure of consuming was better than the next . . . and the next. As guests at an East End wedding, we not only enjoyed the appetizers . . . the wait staff was awesome!! Each and every server was welcoming and jovial, and briefly stop to chat about the East End or the food being served. Our favorite was the clam & corn fritter with jalapeno tartar sauce. As we were guests at the wedding, we have no knowledge of the "value", but this site won't let you leave that blank. Please include Christopher Michael Catering in your wedding search. You would not be disappointed in the quality and quantity of flavorful food and/or service.

Matt Kar and staff at Christopher Michael Catering went above and beyond the call of duty for our wedding. As a native North Forker from the moment my husband and I got engaged we knew Christopher Michael Catering would be at our wedding based on their sterling reputation! Mr. Kar helped us design our menu with local seasonal foods that highlighted what the North Fork had to offer. His staff was beyond attentive. From set up to clean up Mr. Kar's staff were professional and personable to all our guests. I was amazed that our 200 person wedding was served dinner french style in under 30 minutes. Many of our guests have shared with us that they went back for seconds, even thirds. The mac-and-cheese balls and corn salad were HUGE hits. Mr . Kar prepared tuna, steak and chicken for our wedding all were phenomenal. I could not give a higher recommendation for a wedding caterer. Thank you CMC for making our day so special and making our guests so satisfied!

We had the BEST wedding EVER at Jamesport Manor Inn, Jamesport, NY. Matt was a pleasure to work with and everything was as perfect as we had imagined. The scenery was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for with the orchard, tractor, and barn. The food was amazing and if anyone didn't eat enough it was their own fault.

Wow, what an amazing caterer! Our guests are still raving about the catering for our August, 2017 wedding! Matt and Kerri were absolutely incredible to ensure our guests were fed and satiated. They paid great amount to detail to provide a stress-free day. Our cocktail hour was amazing and the lobster rolls were my husband's favorite. The bar was always fully staffed, as guests complimented our signature drinks of mojito and dark n' stormy. The dinner was served in French style so guests could eat as much as they wanted without getting up. Matt's staff was fantastic; each individual was friendly and cared for the guests. Each person always had a smile on their face no matter how many plates they carried or how many tables they had to clean up. Matt's staff was the last to leave the reception because they wanted to make sure everything was cleaned up perfectly. We are forever grateful for the delicious food (some of the best food we have ever had!) and the caring spirits of Christopher Michael Caterers.
